Spacey-Man score comes from stacked systems, not a single source. If you only chase one category, your run ceiling
stays low. The strongest runs balance survival time, hazard clears, coin routing, and negative-window bonuses.
Score Categories In Mission Debrief
- Time: passive score for staying alive.
- Destroyed: score from destroying hazards and enemies.
- Coins: score from collectible currency pickups.
- Negative: bonus awarded when specific negative effects end and you survive.
- Misc: smaller events such as near-miss style bonuses.
Known Point Values
- Time score: 5 points per second.
- Negative-active time boost: while a negative effect is active, time score runs at 2x.
- Coin pickup: 50 points each coin.
- Diamond pickup: 200 points each diamond.
- Near-miss style misc bonus: 20 points.
- Negative completion bonus: 200 points when most negative effects end and you are still alive.
- Multiplier power-up: sets score multiplier to 2x while active.
Destroyed Score Notes
Destroyed score is not a single fixed number. Typical kills award values in a range depending on hazard type and
source of destruction. Common examples include around 110 to 160 points for major hazards/enemies, with some
lighter chain-clear events awarding less.
Coin Economy Matters
Coins are both score and survival currency. They increase score on pickup, but they can also be spent during run
flow. If your coin balance drops too low, you remove your margin for recovery plays.
- Do not spend every coin immediately after earning it.
- Leave room for high-pressure moments where recovery is worth more than early optimization.
- Track your own average coin balance near the end of strong runs and use that as your target buffer.
High-Score Strategy
- Base layer: maximize survival first, because time score never stops.
- Middle layer: add reliable destroyed score without overcommitting position.
- Risk layer: take negative windows only when your board control is stable.
- Spike layer: trigger multiplier windows when there are many scoring opportunities on screen.
Common Mistakes
- Overvaluing one flashy pickup while giving up safe movement space.
- Chasing every coin into dangerous lanes instead of preserving run continuity.
- Accepting negative pressure with no plan to survive the full timer.
- Activating burst scoring tools during low-density board states.
